What is the Management Training Program?
The Management Training Program is a yearlong program designed for young graduates who have finished their studies and are beginning their career at L’Oreal. It is a preparatory integration stage, giving successful applicants a tailor-made, all-rounded experience and exposure to several different aspects of one function (sales, marketing, finance, operations, communications/PR…) before being assigned to a specific post.
What is the Marketing Function?
A marketeer’s responsibility is to successfully manage the products in your portfolio in a fiercely competitive environment. It’s about having a vision for your brand, and achieving it - a fantastic combination of strategic thinking and daily operational challenges. Key roles and accountabilities include:
• Monitoring, understanding and reporting on the performance of your brand and its competitors within the market. Accurately forecasting sales and promotions
• Assessing the potential for new launches and helping build successful launch plans. Conducting consumer research to identify new product opportunities
• Building strong internal relationships with the commercial and logistics teams to ensure competitive pricing and promotion and a smooth supply-chain process.
• Working with external agencies including design, PR and advertising
What is the Sales Function?
There are 3 main areas in the sales:
Sales Field Management
You will be responsible for a part of our business in an assigned territory within China. Your key role would be coaching the sales representatives teams and developing individuals’ potential to achieve the given objectives
Key Account Management
You will work with large clients such as Carrefour, Watsons. Your key role would be:
• Negotiating with the client to build a business relationship of trust and confidence to deliver mutual business objectives. Tailoring and maximizing new launches within accounts. Putting together rationales for new product listings, space increases and promotions. Key competitor analysis.
• Liaising with all areas of the business internally in order to assure the highest level of customer service. Monitoring sales and identifying new business opportunities whilst accurately forecasting promotions and launches.
Trade Marketing
You are the communication link between marketing and sales teams and the key retailers. You will influence product range reviews, undertaking data analysis, range and space evaluation, category plan grams, merchandising activities.
Your key role would be:
• Meeting the brands' and the key retailers' needs to grow together by initiating, implementing and coordinating the trade marketing plans.
• Coordinating the corporate and promotional POS activities (of the brands and the retailers) from conception to implementation on the field.
What is the Finance Function?
Finance takes part in the growth of our business by ensuring a high level of financial performance. Their constant objective is to optimize resource allocation to contribute effectively to the company's dynamic growth.
Controlling, internal auditing, accounting and treasury – whatever your role, you'll work closely with General Management. Ensuring that growth equates with profitability and a high level of service to our customers. In finance, you will be in permanent contact with:
• Your external customers: distributors and suppliers…
• Your internal customers: sales / marketing department, commercial department, corporate function…
You guarantee the reliability of the finance databases and have to ensure that information is structured and communicated in a timely manner.
What is the Logistics Function?
Logistics belong to the bigger Supply Chain team. As a team, it manages all flow types - from raw material to finished goods, from factories to the international distribution centers, from our own warehouses and then to our clients. In logistics, you will be in permanent contact with:
•your external customers: distributors, counters and suppliers
•your internal customers: marketing department, commercial department, distribution platform. …
You will be completely responsible for the flows you are managing and have to ensure that information is structured and communicated. You guarantee the reliability of the logistics databases. |
