Q 1: Who should I contact for any enquiries?
You can contact our Graduate recruitment team in the location nearest you.
Q 2: What is the process for selection?
You will have to complete a 4-step selection process before you get the job.
Online application: as soon as you have submitted your online application form, your information will be screened and assessed.
Written tests: assessment on your English and reasoning abilities.
Assessment centre: assessment on other relevant skills required by the position you have applied for.
Competency-based interview: you will be invited to attend a finalinterview with the leaders from the respective Lines of Service.
Q 3: What should I do if I can't come to the scheduled interview appointment or test arrangement for some reasons?
Please refer to question 1.
Q4: What is the preferred education level to be qualified forapplication? Also, do I have to be an accounting or business majorstudent to be considered?
Our graduate openings dorequire a minimum of a bachelor's degree to apply. However, we recruitgraduates from all backgrounds and majors.
Q 5oes PricewaterhouseCoopers hire students who don't have a businessbackground? If so are non-business graduates treated differently or dothey have fewer opportunities?
Our philosophy is tohire the right people who share our vision - and not all of them cometo us with a business background or degree. Generally it is moredemanding for non-accounting/business graduates as they generally needto work harder to acquire the professional qualification. Our newstaff training programme provides the non-accounting graduates with thenecessary accounting courses to put them on a par with the accountinggraduates.
Q 6: Can I apply for more than one position in each Line of Service?
Youare advised to prioritise your preference and apply for one positionwithin one line of service. However, you will be considered for oneposition at a time, i.e. your first choice. If your background doesnot match the requirements of your first choice, we will consider ifyou are suitable for the second choice.
Q 7: After Ihave gone through one or more stages of the selection process, is itstill possible for me to change my preference of the Lines of Service?
Beforeyou submit your application form, we advise you to think carefully ofyour ability, interests and qualifications that best match therequirements of the lines of service that you are going to apply.
Asthe requirements of different lines of service may vary, we do notencourage students to change their preference during or after theselection process.
Q 8: How can I verify if my profile has been successfully completed? Or if my application has been successfully sent?
Onceyour online application form has been submitted, you will receive aconfirmation email with a 5-digit reference number. Please be remindedto jot down your reference number, as you are expected to refer to thisreference number for any future communication with us.
Q 9: Will I be notified if I'm not selected for the position I applied for?
Yes. Unsuccessful candidates will be notified via email during the selection process.
Q 10: When is the exact date of commencement for successful graduates?
Youwill be notified of the exact date of commencement via email in August2010. Please provide us a valid email address to maintain contact.
Q 11: If I am a student from a non-accounting major, are there any conversion courses for me?
Definitively,we understand that conversion course is the first step fornon-accounting majors to succeed in our profession. When you haveaccepted our offer, you will be invited to attend a full-timeconversion programme that is fully-sponsored by the firm. You will benotified via email in May 2010 to attend the course between June andAugust 2010.
